"Icy synthesizers approximating Iceland's arctic sheets before battling drums hammer down like marching soldiers."
-iTunes Editorial
"Bridges the gap between 80s dancefloor goth and just-the-tip darkwave; Gabriel-esque synthpop meathooks keep them tethered to the tiles."
-Jordan Campbell, Last Rites
"[Legend's] 2012 record 'Fearless' is a must-have for anyone interested in dark-minded music."

lyrics
I feel so alone tonight
I need to find some company
After hours energy
Cause I
Feel the city
I need the city
I love the city
Give me the city
Howl
Pills, thrills and porcupines
Face of heaven liquid eyes
Coming closer to the high
Cause I
I'm in the city
I feel the city
I love the city
Give me the city
Howl
The cattle burns its currency
Craving for their ecstasy
Pulling teeth of secrecy
Get Down
Those are the pleasures
Of the city
I feel the city
Give me the city
Howl
I just want to see the truth
In the shadow of doubt
Give me something
Howl
Give me something
I don't believe my city is a dying bride
Give me something
Howl
Give me something
I howl at the city
Am I the man that will bathe in your light?
You give me secrets that I can't hide
You hold your freak flag up high
We are destined to die
With the city
In the City
Give me the City
Are you the one that will bather in her light?
She'll tell you secrets that you can't hide
You hold your freak flag up high
You are destined to die
With the City
In the City
Give me the City
I just want to see the truth
In the shadow of doubt
Give me something
Howl
Give me something
I don't believe my city is a dying bride
Give me something
Howl
Give me something
I want to be the weekend warrior for you
And let you know that I will cherish your filth
Give me the weapons to diminish the morning
And you will be my only Babylon qeen
This album should be ranked very high in ranks of latest industrial albums, because it just crushes the competition. THIS is how it's done people. Menacing vocals, pounding drums and haunting electronics have no mercy on your ears and leave you with not one second of peace. Play this loud and do people around you a service.

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles

The new album from VOWWS is driving and merciless, pairing industrial rhythms with doomy, down-stroke guitar chords. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 3, 2018
I was pleasantly-surprised by this album. I was expecting something colder, slower, and ambient from what little I first heard before I bought it. Instead, it's not too unlike the later Mechanical Soul. There's elements of old and new FLA here, and there's parts of this that I rather like. I wouldn't mind more collab songs, for one, or for more flirting with other genres. Give me both vaporwave-y songs AND hardcore industrial dance. Rocket Verliden
